When I first came to St. Michael’s, I was excited about a new experience. I never thought this school would change me so much for the better. By the end of my first year, St. Michael’s had become a second home for me.
Rising early and daily prayer helped me to grow in my spiritual life. The priests served as counselors and friends in whom I could confide. The religious community served as good Christian role models for me. The isolated life here protected us from worldly distractions and temptations. The evening holy hour offered opportunities to meditate on everyday life.
Besides growing spiritually, I also learned many things about the faith. The Norbertine’s thorough knowledge of the faith enabled them to teach me the vast treasures of the Catholic faith.
Another essential part of St. Michael’s is the friendships formed here. Unlike other friendships, here my friends and I strove to follow the ideals of Christian manhood and virtue. We developed loyalty to one another and made epic memories together.
The school challenged me academically as well. The rigorous class schedules taught me the values of hard work and determination. The lay teachers here have also been inspiring role models. Their determination and care for their students pushed me to excel in my schoolwork. There are many people to thank for the great experience I received at this school. First, I am grateful to my parents for the hard work they put themselves through to enable me to go to this school. I thank the priests and teachers for supporting my endeavors. I also thank Father Gabriel for accepting me in this school. Finally, I thank God for all the wonderful blessings He has provided me.
